Our Responsibilities
For the elections, our responsibilities include:
- Chief Voter Registration Official for the county
- Registers voters in county
- Conducts voter registration drive prior to each primary election
- Designates polling places after approval by County Commission
- Prepares and supplies all materials (ballot boxes, poll books, etc.) before election day
- Supplies list of candidates
- Receives ballots on election night
- Records votes
- Custodian of vote recording device
